Wirketorp is an arable farm situated between Lund and Eslöv on the plains of Skåne. From Wirketorp, it only takes 15 minutes to drive to Lund, 28 minutes to Malmö, 10 minutes to Eslöv and 7 minutes to Kävlinge. It takes 55 minutes to drive to Copenhagen via the Öresund bridge.
The farm has belonged to the family since 1938. We have a living farm without livestock. An important part of the farm is the cultivation of rapeseed, which is used for the production of cooking oil and fuel.
We have run the Bed and Breakfast as a part of the farm’s activities since 2002. This has now grown into a countryside hotel with all facilities housed in the previous stables.
The newest extension, with new rooms and common areas, was completed in 2009.
Our accommodations hold a very high standard, with top ratings from the organisation “Bo på Lantgård” (Farm Stay in Sweden), which we are members of.
The farm has a large lush garden surrounded by high beech trees that provide shelter from the wind as well as being excellent climbing trees.
By the edge of the garden there is a barbeque area with a view of the landscape.
Outside the guest rooms there is a patio, which has lovely morning sun.
For recreation, we have a new boule court. There is also a grass pitch where you can play badminton, crocket and similar activities.
We sell honey from our own bees and the game “Flaggspektrum”, (a game with flags from the whole world) whose inventor has grown up on the farm.
The team running the business at Wirketorp consists of myself, my parents, children and employees.
